• Full P&R identification issued / reissued annually • Full CORGI / P&R identification • Sign written vehicles • Full liveried uniform: 5 shirts, 2 fleece, 3 pairs of trousers
P&R’s identification cards contain the following details and are worn around our operatives’ necks on a lanyard:
• Photograph of engineer • Engineer's name • Contractor's name, address and telephone number. • Client’s address and telephone number. • Expiry date of card • Unique reference number
For our residents’ security, all P&R Site operatives are displayed on our web site for complete resident peace of mind meaning that the resident / client can access the website to quickly check that the person on their doorstep with a P&R Uniform / livered van and Identification card is actually a current P&R operative.
Our company handbook requires our operatives to wear the appropriate uniform at all times whilst on company business and failure to do so can lead to disciplinary measures being taken. Furthermore, our site operatives are subject to random unannounced site visits where our Inspectors will be checking to ensure that not only are the requirements of the uniform etc being adhered to but also the standard of workmanship carried out is of / above the standard required by P&R.
We have long recognised the impending skills shortage within our industry and have been taking steps for a number of years to play our part in improving this situation. Even through the recession periods, we still operated our apprenticeship policy, unlike many of our competitors and firmly believe that we and the apprentices are now enjoying the benefits of such a training programme.
We have developed good relationships with the local colleges where we work over the years. This ultimately benefits the apprentices and the industry locally.
