Diversity of Workforce

P & R Installation Company is committed to employing a workforce that directly reflects the ethnic make-up and diversity of the community in which we are working. This delivers untold benefits to the provision of the service not only to our clients but to our residents as well.

Language Line Translation Services

We ensure that our customers who do not speak English receive full and effective consultation and communication. Where appropriate we employ local people with dual language skills in operative and staff positions to raise levels of customer service.

Language Cards

All P & R Installation Company operatives will carry language identification cards supplied by the National Interpreting Service. This allows a three way conversation to be held, via a mobile phone, between our employee and the Tenant, allowing the nature of the work to be discussed and any other relevant matters.

Respecting Residents Religions & Religious Holidays

P & R Installation Company is extremely sensitive to the religious beliefs of our residents. Through employment of local people from the community and discussions with Customers we implement a range of measures to accommodate these needs. We realise that there are certain times when work cannot take place, for example to accommodate prayer needs and are also aware that it will not always be possible for male operatives to work in a home when only a female resident is present.
We solve this issue by sending a female operative (or a female Customer Care Manager to accompany a male operative) to carry out the work. All P & R Installation Company branches have calendars with all important religious dates and festivals on them.

In addition to this all P & R Operatives undergo religious training which highlights (amongst other things) religious holidays and the impact that this may have on the services required.
